It’s not only rock ’n’ roll, baby! As a musician, producer and songwriter, François De Meyer has been juggling elements from pop, techno, disco, industrial, R&B, stoner rock and hip-hop since the ‘90s.
But his love for music started much earlier. Watching his dad playing the piano at the age of 2, he was raised on artists like Booker T, Sam and Dave, Stevie Wonder, and Prince. In 1997, he left Belgium to go and live in London for five years, discovering the rising electronic music scene in the UK. He came back to play at Vive La Fête, but after two years, he left again for New York, where he was soon selling beats and taking part in beat battles, before finally building an impressive career from his hometown, Ghent.
His CV includes remixes for Adele, Das Pop, The Human League and Röyksopp, plus performances at festivals like, Miami, Pukkelpop, Leffingeleuren, Feest In Het Park, and Dour, and 'sound identities' and 'sound logos' for big brands like Alpro, Eastpak, RayBan, Eén, Itsme and Belfius. Additionally, he collaborates with several artists, producing their music, including with “Baloji,” for whom he produced the successful track “Spoiler.”
